Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal data for money. But when personalised advertising is on, Foodogeki discloses your device advertising identifier, your IP address and your ad interaction data to advertising partners so that they can select ads for you. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable laws in other states, that disclosure counts as a “sale” or a “share” of personal information, and you have the right to opt out of it. Section 6.7 of our Privacy Policy sets this out.
Opt out in the Game
The disclosure happens inside the app, so the switch is inside the app: open Foodogeki, go to Settings → Privacy → Ad preferences, and turn off personalised advertising. It takes effect immediately. From then on we enable Google’s Restricted Data Processing for your device, which limits Google’s advertising products to non-personalised advertising, and your opt-out is sent with every ad request so that the partners listed on Advertising partners can honour it.
You can also stop the identifier at the source: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Opt out by email
If you cannot use the Game, or you are acting for someone else, write to privacy@foodogeki.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share request”, your player ID (Settings → Account → Player ID) and the state you live in. We do not ask you to create an account, and we ask for no more than we need to find the right player record. An authorised agent may submit the request for you with your written permission. We act on opt-out requests within 15 business days.
On our websites
foodogeki.com and wiki.foodogeki.com sell and share nothing: they set no cookies and use no advertising or analytics (see the Cookie Policy). We honour the Global Privacy Control signal, and because nothing is collected for sale or sharing on the sites, there is nothing for the signal to switch off.
What changes, and what does not
- You still see advertising in Foodogeki, and as many ads as before; they are simply no longer personalised.
- We do not treat you differently for opting out — no feature is removed and no price changes.
- Opting out does not delete data already held by an advertising partner. Resetting your advertising identifier in your device settings severs the link between your device and that data.
Your other rights
You can also ask to know what personal information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. We collect no sensitive personal information as those laws define it. Withdraw consent explains how to make each of those requests.
